PGA Junior Golf League (Spring 2026)
The Union County PGA Jr. Golf League is back for the 2026 season, offering young golfers an exciting chance to learn, play, and compete in a fun team environment. Hosted at The Learning Center at Galloping Hill in Kenilworth and historic Shady Rest in Scotch Plains. This program has become one of New Jersey’s premier junior golf opportunities. We put together 6 teams of 12 players; each will be managed by one of our PGA Professionals.
New for this season, two teams will be designated as “travel teams” ages 10-13 years old, they will play in elevated matches at exclusive clubs in the area. This will be a highly competitive program and previous Junior competition is preferred. The other four teams, ages 8-13 years, will compete against each other in a round robin format. The program consists of home and away matches, team practices and on-course scrimmages and final Team scramble and pizza party. All “in-house” matches will be played at either Galloping Hill or Shady Rest Golf Courses.
A 3% surcharge will be added to all credit card charges
PGA Jr league registration fee- $325 (Travel Team will be charged an additional $50)
Tryouts: Travel Team ONLY: Friday, April 17 5PM – 7:30PM
Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19 9AM – 12PM
(must attend one)

Sundays- May 9 (Saturday), May 17 and 31, June 7 and 14
Time 4PM – 6:30PM

Cancellation policy PGA Jr league: 95% prior to entries close 4/1; 85% prior to tryouts, after tryouts no refunds
2026 PGA Spring Prep Clinic
Program Dates: March 14 – April 4, 2026
Saturdays: March 14, 21, 28 & April 4
Time: 12:00PM – 1:30PM
Minimum 6 golfers, Maximum 16 golfers

PGA Junior Golf League 17u (2026)
The Union County PGA Jr. League program boasts PGA Jr League teams for those youth ages 14 – 17. We will utilize the facilities at The Learning Center at Galloping Hill in Kenilworth, Ash Brook Golf Course and Shady Rest Golf Course both in Scotch Plains as well as other surrounding golf courses. Players compete in a team format playing a two-person scramble under stroke or match play scoring for 9 holes. Matches are typically played on weeknights or weekends later in the day.
Age Requirements
The Union County PGA Jr. League program boasts PGA Jr League teams for those youth ages 14 – 17. We will utilize the facilities at The Learning Center at Galloping Hill in Kenilworth, Ash Brook Golf Course and Shady Rest Golf Course both in Scotch Plains as well as other surrounding golf courses.
Program Costs
The fee for the program will be $300 per youth. Once the child is placed on a team there will be an additional $120 payable to PGA Jr League.
Tryouts
Tryouts will be held at The Learning Center at Galloping Hill Golf Course. Youth golfers only have to attend one day of tryouts. There is no fee to tryout. Registration required.
